Warning: there are 800 meters of this trail in PACOCHE are strenuous, not recommended for travelers with heart or walking problems, please wear running shoes at least and mosquito repellent.

Museo Ciudad Alfaro

This town is located 15 minutes from Manta, known by the "Montecristi" hats. This city has become an icon for Ecuadorians, many visitors come to see how the "Montecristi" hats are woven; also we will visit Ciudad Alfaro, a complex that was built in order to honor our ex president Eloy Alfaro, who regardless of being a wealthy man, he fought agains the inequality in 1895, and where we singned our last constitution in 2008.

Pacoche Wildlife Refuge

This is one of the 56 protected areas in Ecuador, where you will be able to have contact with nature, this ecosystem has a diverse number of animals, such as howler monkeys, Machalilla frog which is the second smallest in the world, humming birds and plants that are part of our living. Warning: there is 500 meters of this trail in PACOCHE are strenuous, not recommended for travelers with heart or walking problems, please wear running shoes

Downtown Montecristi, where you will be able to witness how the artisans weave a fine Montecristi hat, you will be able to visit the church of Montecristi and shops.

We accommodate our start time to match your arrival, take the free "Shuttle" to the ship terminal, our representatives will be wearing uniforms with MANTA SOS'S logo, We will meet you at the waiting area, inside the terminal, next to the exit door as you see on the pictures on the tour description.

The trip began well as we promptly spotted the company representatives and gave our names. This was an interesting tour. Fernando was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable. The background he provided to each site we visited made it come alive. We will always remember this experience. Wish the hauling monkeys came out to see them...next time
