Visit the distillery to see Appleton's copper pot stills, which give the rum a distinctive flavour, and take a look inside the ageing house, where the rum sits in oak barrels, some for up to 30 years. Learn about the prestigious history of Appleton Estate, one of the oldest distilleries in Jamaica, and hear about its fermentation process, during which sugar cane molasses and a special yeast culture combine with water that has been filtered naturally by limestone to create Appleton’s much-loved flavour.

I visited the estate in 2007 and have just returned in April 2019 with a party of 14.
Ages 3 months (baby) to 63, fantastic.
The development is outstanding yet the estate is still authentic.
I recommend to all.

The estate is located in the valley hidden between the mountains. Outside there is a completely different world than the rest of Jamaica (landscaped parking lots, mowed lawn, all nicely arranged).
