Learn to make restaurant quality tempura in this family-friendly cooking course. Join Max, a local restaurant owner, in Osaka for a special frying lesson. In this class you won’t just learn how to make tempura, you’ll learn the techniques to recreate the full spectrum of Japanese cuisine. Make four mouth-watering dishes including shrimp, two seasonal vegetables, and a fried vegetable mix called kakiage. See anything on the list that you can’t eat? Well, don’t worry because Max can accommodate all of your dietary restraints as long as you let him know in advance. Enjoy this meal with a variety of traditional side dishes and special seasonal dessert before heading back out for more Osaka sightseeing.

  • Please make sure to arrive on time. The host will be waiting for you at the meeting point up to 15 minutes before the experience starting time
  • If you are late, please notify the host. You’ll have to go directly to the venue (5-7 min walk from Matsuyamachi Station)
  • Please note that the kitchen is in a shared building, so stomping, shouting, running, and any other loud actions are strictly prohibited
  • Children aged six and under can participate for free
  • For safety, children under 16 years of age cannot fry anything themselves
