During this private three-hour tour I will take you on an adventure to discover the charm of Salvador and its people, as we admire some of the Old Town's extraordinary treasures and surprising secrets, like its squares, churches, monuments, colonial houses, museums, art galleries, handicraft stores, restaurants and bars. Salvador has an unique combination of the Portuguese, local Indigenous People and African cultures. We are the result of this great mixture and I feel ready to make your trip the most enjoyable one.
During this private three-hour tour I will take you on an adventure to discover the charm of Salvador and its people. Our starting point will be at Castro Alves Square, located at the old main entrace to the Old Town, on the ancient southern edge of the city.
Here we are on the top of the Upper City, where the Portuguese built the first capital of Brazil, similar to an acropolis. From the Municipal Square we will see the Rio Branco Palace, the City Council and the iconic Lacerda Elevator, from where we will enjoy a magnificent view of the bay with its islands, the old financial district and Mercado Modelo, a handicraft market.
We will pass through the Sé Square, where the first cathedral of Brazil was built and we can still see its ruins.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
