All tours depart from Salem's Old Town Hall, on the three steps. A local historian guides you through the cobblestone-lined streets of this 17th century city by the glow of lantern light. Explore the driving factors behind the infamous Witch Trials Hysteria of 1692, meeting real practicing witches along the way. Learn about the rise of Salem as a world-class haunted seaport, creating some of the wealthiest families in its history.
We will be strolling the cobblestoned streets of the Essex St Pedestrian walking mall. This is the very heart of Salem, which once was a Native American trading path. You will visit the site of the First Church of Salem and hear the haunting tale of the Lady in Blue.
One of the most photographed sites in the city, the Bewitched statue will be your next stop. Learn how the locals *really* felt about this 9 foot bronze statue being dedicated in 2005. Why are their security cameras fixed on Samantha?

Tours start outside the Old Town Hall, 32 Derby SQUARE, Salem, MA 01970 (Side of the building with the THREE Staircases) **Important tour information. Please read this message in its entirety** We meet at Old Town Hall located at 32 Derby SQUARE. (NOT Derby Street). You will find your tour guide waiting on the side of Old Town Hall with three staircases facing Front Street. Please note we do *not* have a physical office location. We highly recommend using the restroom prior to the tour. There are public restrooms in Artists’ Row, near the Lobster Shanty, 25 Front Street, and at the Salem Armory Regional Visitor Center, 2 New Liberty Street. The visitor center is open Wednesday – Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms along our routes. ***Parking can be difficult in Salem!! Please plan to arrive at least an hour prior to your tour to find parking. We recommend parking at the MBTA garage, located at 252 Bridge St. You can find more information on parking at www.salem.org and www.salem.gov. We recommend using the Passport Parking App for metered parking. Tours leave promptly at the start time, and we cannot accommodate latecomers. Thank you and have a wonderful tour!
