This is the only tour in Chicago that explores the movie 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' from the perspective of art. It's also the only walking tour that immerses you in the actual artwork featured in the 1986 American teen film. Over the course of the tour, you'll visit 3 floors of the museum, see 16 pieces of art, and leave with an appreciation of the works, their relationship to characters, and their placement in the camera's frame.
⚠️ NOTE: Admission to the Art Institute of Chicago is NOT included in the public walking tour. The tour starts by the stairs in the *Modern Wing* of the Art Institute, Griffin Court.
Guests must digitally sign a general waiver of liability. Guardians must sign waivers for children under the age of 18.

The Art Institute of Chicago
You'll start with a 5-minute history of the Art Institute of Chicago. Then, you'll spend the rest of your tour moving in and out of galleries, looking at the artwork featured in the movie 'Ferris Bueller’s Day Off' and hearing facts, stories, and quotes about the 1986 American teen comedy. In total, you'll visit 3 floors of the museum, see 16 pieces of art, and leave with an appreciation of the works, their relationship to characters, and their placement in the camera's frame. NOTE: This tour does not include the price of admission to the Art Institute.

- The tour starts in the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago, Griffin Court, by the staircase/chairs. This is NOT the Michigan Ave. entrance with the lions. Please arrive about 10 min. before the tour begins. NOTE: This tour does not include the price of admission to the Art Institute.

Such a fun way to see the Art Institute! Kelli did a great job teaching us all about the movie and the art that was featured. And she got us thinking too! Her use of an iPad enhanced the experience. I highly recommend this tour!
