Itinerary

The Red House is one of the oldest houses in Vaduz. It was first mentioned in documents in 1338. 1525 acquired the monastery of St. John in the Thur valley, the house and vineyard for 758 guilders. After almost 300 years, the estate was sold again in 1807. Since then it has been owned by the Rheinberger family. In the back of the house is the wine press, the Torkelbaum, an oak trunk, in the winter of 1483/84 was proven fell. The wine press is still functional today The spacious cellar vaults offered space for the storage of 20,000 liters of wine.

Hofkellerei of the Prince of Liechtenstein (Pass-by Only)

The princely vineyard "Herawingert", with its 4 hectares of vineyards is the most traditional and important vineyard in Vaduz. It is considered the centerpiece of viticulture in the Principality and has been in the possession of the Princely House since 1712. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay find the best conditions for an excellent wine. Every drop, a princely wine pleasure, which one should not miss.

Rheinpark Stadion (Pass-by Only)

The Rheinparkstadion opened in 1998 and can accommodate 6,000 people. It is the home stadium of the Liechtenstein national football team and FC Vaduz

The Liechtenstein State Square, where the government building is located and immediately after that the 2007 newly created parliament building. Liechtenstein has existed since 1719 and has been a sovereign monarchy since 1806. According to the constitution of 1921, the principality is a constitutional hereditary monarchy on a democratic and parliamentary basis. Prince and people rule together. The rights and interests of the people are perceived by the parliament, the 25-member parliament.

The bailiwick in Städtle 43 was built around 1500 and served as the seat of the representative of the ruler. This and the next house are now home to the National Museum, where you can see archeology, folklore, natural history and history and culture of Liechtenstein. Furthermore, you will constantly experience new special exhibitions of international standing on a wide range of topics.

We used our Bodensee card for this so I’ve no idea how much it actually costs. Whatever it is, it’s probably too much. That said, it is an easy way to see what’s what in Vaduz. The commentary is pretty rubbish though. Really waffly and hard to follow. On balance, I’d say it’s worth doing. Jus...

Facile d’accès proche de la mairie de Vaduz. Attention le train ne va pas jusqu’au château de Vaduz même s’il est visible d’un peu partout. Comme il n’est pas visitable. Vous pouvez toutefois vous y rendre à pieds facilement ( même si ça monte un peu). Pour le reste l’essentiel y est

We hadden van te voren niks gereserveerd en waren vroeg in Vaduz (10.00uur). We wilden deze tour graag doen en probeerden een ticket te kopen. Helaas zei verkoper (later ook chauffeur) dat we om 11.30uur konden. Terwijl wij nog ter plaatste waren, kwam de verkoper uit zijn hok en gaf aan dat we ...
