Known as Johor Bahru’s Heritage Food Trail - This street is refurbished to commemorate the heritage of the Straits Chinese and Malays. Some of the buildings and shophouses are kept in their original state. There are some old famous food shops and newly opened hipster cafes around here.

Istana Bukit Serene

Known as the royal palace and the Sultan of Johor’s official residence, the Laman Mahkota Istana Bukit Serene is one of the most famous and must see landmarks in Johor. Adorned with detailed and unique Art-Deco-inspired aesthetic carvings. For those who enjoy creative curations ought to visit and take in the majestic view of the arch and palace.

Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque

One of the most interesting and historic mosques in the area, the Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque is one of the architectural standouts of Johor Bahru, which lies just across the water from Singapore. Along with the unusual exterior, with its yellow stucco moldings, gilded archways, and tranquil gardens, the expansive prayer hall features fluted columns, sparkling chandeliers, and a gilded minbar (pulpit) from Turkey. Recently renovated, the mosque can accommodate about 2,000 worshippers.

Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple

Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Temple which was built based on the artistic concept of colorful mirrors is certified as “The World’s First Glass Temple. The temple is also recognized in The Malaysia Book Of Record and is even one of the oldest temples in Johor Bahru City. This temple was established in 1922 and has a high and unique historical value. This glass temple has attracted the attention of many tourists during their visit to Johor Bahru. A unique feature of this magnificent temple is that 95% of its walls, ceiling and pillars are covered with stained glass mirrors that have been imported from Thailand, Japan and Belgium. Its beauty is original and an experience in itself!
