If you’re short on time in the Lake District then this half day tour is a fantastic way to see a lot in not much time. Not only will you see six different Lakes (also called Tarns, Meres and Waters) you go over Kirkstone pass, take in the views at Castlerigg Stone Circle and visit the Village of Grasmere.

Itinerary

Begin your morning tour of six famous lakes at your chosen pickup point.

Kirkstone Pass

Travel up the Kirkstone Pass, where you will have a chance to take photographs of the stunning Lake District. Please note: *Due to Kirkstone Pass road closures, the tour will not visit here on the following dates: 6th March 2023 - 3rd April 2023 5th June 2023 - 3rd July 2023 11th September 2023 for 2+ weeks 1st March 2024 - 22nd March 2024 These tours will still be running as usual but with a temporary diversion route; the duration of your experience will remain the same with another spectacular scenery visit added elsewhere.

Glenridding

Stop for a quick coffee in Glenridding, nestled on the shore of the stunning lake, Ullswater.

Ullswater (Pass-by Only)

Travel along the shore of this beautiful lake, surrounded on all sides by majestic fells. Please Note: Kirkstone Pass will be closed from Monday 7th - Friday 18th October. These tours will still be running as usual but with a temporary diversion route; the duration of your experience will remain the same with another spectacular scenery visit added elsewhere.

Castlerigg Stone Circle

Pay a visit to Castlerigg Stone Circle, thought to be 4,000 years old this circle was put into place before Stone Henge!

Thirlmere (Pass-by Only)

Pass by this man made reservoir.

Grasmere

Stop in the charming village of Grasmere, famous for its gingerbread and links to William Wordsworth.

The Lake District is absolutely gorgeous and suitable for hikers and strollers alike. Can also simply take a boat ride on one of the lakes and there are snacks and fun ice cream stands at every turn for kids if all ages. We didn’t backpack but the mere prospect looked amazing. Also enjoyed swan, ...

Det var en mycket fin utflykt med bra stopp längs vägen och otroligt vackra landskap. Vår guide, Mark H, var mycket påläst och skicklig på att berätta. Hela familjen var mycket nöjd med utflykten.

Our driver, Tim, was excellent in his commentary and particularly good with 2 children who came. Although it was a ‘whistle stop’ tour it was a great experience and we were blessed with good weather.
