Experience St Maarten's unique and colourful past as you take a leisure bicycle ride through its historically-rich streets. Your guide will lead you into the heart of town, where you will have the chance to stop at various points of interest to learn about the island’s history and rich culture. You will get up close to the famous salt pond, visit important landmarks such as the Old Court House, Freedom Fighters Monument, and Carnival Village, enjoying several fun photo opportunities. Of course your day will not be complete without a dip in the pristine waters of Great Bay before heading back to Port.
Please note that St. Maarten does not have cycling lanes, therefore this tour requires cycling with traffic, which might be an uncomfortable experience if you are not accustomed to it.
Option 1: Tour departs at 11:30am
You will start your tour inside the Cruise Ship Terminal, familiarizing yourself withe the bike before heading out.
You will follow your guide towards Pointe Blanche, stopping to view the distant island of St. Barths and learning some of its history.
Head along the oceanfront Boardwalk of Philipsburg with its bustling shops and cafes, and its scenic views of Great Bay. Your first stop will be at the Old Court House to learn about St. Maarten's political divide.
