-Abeno Harukas Art Museum Exhibitions-

  • Agency of Imaginary Journeys: Jean-Michel Folon
  • Exhibition Period: April 5, 2025 (Saturday) - June 22, 2025 (Sunday)
  • Jean-Michel Folon (1934-2005) was a unique artist from Belgium. His works are both poetic and full of humor, leading viewers on a fantastic journey through soft colors and light brushstrokes. They convey profound inspiration about various phenomena in the world, filled with rich emotions and messages. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Folon's death and the 25th anniversary of the "Folon Foundation" established during his lifetime, this exhibition will showcase approximately 230 diverse works, including paintings, sculptures, and posters, demonstrating Folon's warm and profound artistic charm to the public.

  • Riusuke Fukahori Exhibition: Into the Water
  • Exhibition Period: July 5, 2025 (Saturday) - September 7, 2025 (Sunday)
  • Born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan in 1973, Riusuke Fukahori is an artist fascinated by goldfish and continuously creates related works. This exhibition will feature approximately 300 pieces from his early to latest creations, with the "Goldfish Sake" series at its core. Inspired by the "goldfish salvation" event and personally named by the artist, the series symbolizes "being saved by goldfish." These exquisite 2.5D (dimensional) painting techniques are astonishing—viewed from above, it resembles a swimming goldfish, but observed from the side, it presents different visual effects, revealing the cruelty, strangeness, beauty, loveliness, and transience of life.

-Godzilla Attacks! Abeno Harukas Summit Showdown-

  • The "HARUKAS 300" observatory, located in Osaka's landmark Abeno HARUKAS, will hold a special collaboration project with Japan's iconic character "Godzilla." The event will be held  from Monday, April 21, 2025, to Sunday, June 29, 2025. Godzilla celebrates its 70th anniversary this year since the first movie "Godzilla" was released in 1954. "Godzilla Minus One," released in 2023, won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects at the 96th Academy Awards and enjoys immense popularity worldwide. 2025 also marks the 70th anniversary of Godzilla's first landing in Osaka in the second film, "Godzilla Raids Again," released in 1955. Furthermore, the "Godzilla Earth" that appears in the animated movie "GODZILLA" and the height of Abeno HARUKAS are both 300 meters, which led to this dream collaboration with the Osaka landmark.
  • During the event, HARUKAS 300 will feature a "Godzilla Earth" statue and various decorations on the 60th floor's "Heavenly Corridor," a limited-time workshop on the 58th floor's "Sky Garden," and an exciting "Mini Godzilla Keyword Rally" where you can collect keywords by finding standees throughout the observatory to receive original gifts. In addition, a "Godzilla Store Abeno Pop-up Shop" will be set up on the 16th floor where the observatory ticket counter is located, selling various Godzilla merchandise.
