Turkish Paper Marbling is an important part of our culture as it has been used for designs through the history. Due to it's uniquness, it is also listed as one of the Unesco World Cultural Heritages.
We are pretty sure that there are great Marbling workshops in Istanbul. What makes us different is bringing this unique experience together with Turkish home hospitality.

Firstly, you will be welcomed to a home in central Istanbul, Beşiktaş. After warming up with Ahmet, our dear Marbling instructor, you will be given some historical and cultural information about this Turkish Art, Paper Marbling. Although the art is called with different names such as; water marbling, marbling art, water marbling paint, turkish marbling, Turkish paper marbling; in Turkish, we simply call it Ebru. After some information about the art and some insider access to Turkish home hospitality (big part of Turkish culture), you will start learning this traditional Turkish art with different technics that are used. Having learned how to bring your creativity to visuality through Turkish/Ottoman paper marbling would be one of the most unique experiences you can have in Turkey, considering the fact that you will also be experiencing Turkish home hospitality. You will leave this experience with a feeling of fulfillment and connection. Both with the art itself and the local friends you created bonds with. You will make your own way to the meeting points
Istanbul has traffic issue. Usually, there are decent public transportation to travel. Instructions to arrive at the address by public transportation: - If you are coming from the old town (Sultanahmet, Hagiasophia, Grandbazaar, Eminönü); I would suggest to take the tram T1 to Kabataş. Then, take one of the busses 41E, 27SE, 29C, 62 or 63. Then, get off at Yıldız Teknik Ünv. station. Once you go up the bridge and go accross the street, the location is 5 minutes walk away. - From Taksim area; Take metro M2 to Mecidiyeköy/Şişli. Then connect to M7 and take the metro to Yıldız station. Take the exit number 3. After that, the address is about 5 minutes away. Once you are at number 21, press the bell for number 2. Then, I will welcome you on the entrance floor.
