Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind

Known as the Palace of Winds" or "Palace of the Breeze" is situated in the center of the Jaipur city. Inspired by the unique structure of Khetri Mahal, Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh built this beautiful structure in 1799 with the intent to allow royal women to have a view of the daily activities on the streets without being seen. The 5 storied stunning semi-octagonal monument having 152 windows with overhanging latticed balconies is a fine piece of Rajput architecture.

Albert Hall Museum

Albert Hall museum was predominately constructed as to be a concert hall in year 1876, however, over the next few years, it was used as Town Hall until the King of Jaipur, Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II suggested to use it as a museum for Industrial Arts. Later, the hall was used for displaying masterpieces of local artisans. The museum gets its name from the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, because of the similarity of architecture. Its delight to eyes to witness this architecture after twilight when its illuminated by lights.
