Balata Cathedral (Sacre-Coeur de Balata)
Your first stop is just a few minutes drive at the Sacred Heart of Balata Catholic Church. If you look closely, you might recognize it as a miniature version of the famous Sacré-Coeur Basilica in Paris. The church sits high on a hill, giving you a wonderful view of Fort-de-France and the surrounding area.
Route de la Trace

The winding road even goes through the rainforest in parts, so you can marvel at the lush green landscape along the way. Curvy, it takes you along lush green plants such as bamboo and fern trees, sometimes even through the rainforest .
