There are some 4000 statyes abd statyettes in the caves, mostly of the Buddha, many stukk covered with paper thin gilding. Pong was a great guide and made everyone feel welcome. We did more in 1 day than I have done in months in Laos. But we never felt rushed. The bears and elephants were a highlight and the food and Whiskey was delicious. The sunset cruise was nice but the smoke was pretty bad from the burning seaso...

This tour was a big highlight of our trip to Luang Prabang. Even if you only have two days to explore, this is worth your time and money. Our guide Thin was a gracious host, a good conversationalist, and a great ambassador for the local communities
