Itinerary
The Georgetown 7 Curry Tour is an immersive culinary experience that exposes guests to the entire process of preparing the traditional Guyanese dish 7 Curry, from buying key ingredients such as eggplant, edoe and catahar at a local vegetable market to learning the steps of preparing the dish with chef Eon John. Eon is known locally as “The Singing Chef” because he serenades his guests with Guyanese folkloric songs as they cook and eat with him. 7 Curry is a traditional dish loved by the Guyanese people that is usually cooked on special occasions such as weddings and family gatherings. The meal is beautifully served on freshly gathered waterlily leaves. This is a much loved traditional meal but prepared but with a modern twist. And the fun part is you get to eat it with your hands!
