Kingston Seawall

The Kingston Seawall is considered Guyana’s oldest concrete sea defense structure; it was completed in 1860. This wall however, was not the first attempt of building a permanent sea defense structure, but was the first to withstand the strength of the sea.

Guyana National Museum

The Guyana National Museum focuses the natural and social history of Guyana through informational exhibits and artifacts. Collection holdings include flora and fauna specimens, precious stones and geological artifacts, archaeological objects, and Amerindian arts and crafts. Explore once open.

Walter Roth Museum of Anthropology

The first museum of anthropology in the English-speaking Caribbean was founded in the year 1974 with the collections of Guyanese Archaeologist Dr. Denis Williams. In 1980 the ethnographic collections of Dr. Walter Roth, Mr. J.J. Quelch and Sir Everard im Thurn were transferred to the Walter Roth Museum from the Guyana Museum. Explore once open.

Stabroek Market (Pass-by Only)

Stabroek Market is the largest market of Georgetown, Guyana. Located in the centre of the capital city, the market is housed in an iron and steel structure with a prominent clock tower.

St. George's Cathedral

St. George's Cathedral is an important and much-loved landmark in the Guyanese capital of Georgetown for two reasons: most locals would agree that it's the most impressive building in the capital, and anyone with an eye for history can see how the cathedral is a window into Guyana's colonial past. 1763 Monument

The 1763 Monument proudly stands in the Square of the Revolution in the Guyanese capital of Georgetown. Unveiled in 1976, it commemorates the Berbice Slave Rebellion of 1763, a major event in Guyana’s anti-colonial struggles.

Bourda Market

The market was initially built in 1880, but was later re-built in 1902 to facilitate the growing number of vendors and consumers. Today, it is considered the second largest market in the city of Georgetown.

Parliament Building of Guyana (Pass-by Only)

The National Assembly is one of the two components of the Parliament of Guyana. The Parliament of Guyana consists of the President and the National Assembly. The National Assembly has 65 members elected using the system of proportional representation. Twenty five are elected from the ten geographical constituencies and forty are awarded at the national level on the basis of block votes secured.

enjoyed the City Tour with Trícela massively. She’s so cute and lovely to be together with. She took me to all the highlights of Georgetown and by the end of the Tour we shared a local and very tasty lunch (Roti and Dahl). As it was my birthday on that day she even brought me a little cupcake 🧁 ...

I wanted to experience somewhere different than the usual holiday destinations,, and having known Guyanese people ( they spoke frankly about the pros and cons), I up sticks and visited Georgetown Guyana. The city has an old world ,British Colonial charm, lots of Wooden buildings ,hustle and bust...
