Valley of the Moon

His name was given by Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, who was visiting the Bolivian government headquarters in 1969. After watching a match between The Strongest and Bolívar, Armstrong was preparing to play a game of golf and given the proximity of this place to the golf course, he saw the similarity that existed with the landscapes of the moon and decided to name it that way.

Un excellent moyen de visiter La Paz en quelques heures en compagnie d'un guide local qui vous donne plein d'explications, le téléphérique est genial, vous allez voir les différentes parties de la ville. La vallée de la Lune est une partie tres interessante, ça vaut la peine de la visiter.

This tour packs in a lot of different parts of La Paz in a short time. If you're new to the city, this is a great way to get the lay of the land from Valle de Luna to the historic center. Ricky can answer all your questions about the city, the people, the country. Highly recommend!
