At sunset we start our trip to the inner valley of Elqui, by crossing the San Isidro town, we will get The Mamalluca Amateur Observatory, this special place permits to make direct observations of the universe.

Itinerary
Mamalluca Observatory
The tour visit is at the Mamalluca Observatory. There we will learn to identify constellations, planets and stars through manual telescopes with the coordination of astronomical guides. Afterwards, we will have the opportunity to appreciate the sky through a high-tech telescope inside the main dome of the observatory. Finally, we will return to La Serena.

Great spot to appreciate the stars and other planets clearly. However, facilities could be improved for better safety and confort as many families with small children visit the place.

El guía del tour astronómico, Eduardo, fue bastante elocuente y paciente en explicar al grupo; por temas de recursos, faltó realizar algunas actividades. Pero en general, todo bien con el guía.

vale la pena,experiencia unicas los guias o monitores bien didaticos los horarios bien escogidos hay que ir un poco abrigado pero la noche que fuimos estaba muy agradable.vamos a repetirlo
