Itinerary
You will travel by one hour scenic boat ride through the New River. Your guide will point out many species of riverside plants as well as a large variety of birds that make their home along the banks of Belize's largest fresh body of water.
Lamanai Archaeological Reserve
Follow the paths through the jungle as you explore the temples of Lamanai. Perhaps the most iconic is the Mask Temple! You will also have an opportunity to climb to the top of the High Temple!

This site is amazing. I didn't see many Maya sites but the mask temple is unique!
Plus the 1 hour trip on the river to reach the site is amazing.

I had a great day on this excursion. It was about a 90min drive from the belize ferry to the river in a minivan with a few other folks for the ride. The 5 of us took the river and Lamanai tour together with Vladimir. The small group size was great, we got to learn a lot about Mayan history, anima...
