We will have a panoramic view of one of the most important houses in the entire country accompanied by a good and rich explanation. Our president lives and works here! Also, this is where the changing of the guard takes place every day! We are going to enjoy great architecture and a place full of history!

It is considered the oldest (or fist) official bar in Peru, located next to the presidencial palace, famouse because many former presidents and writers came here including Ernest Hemingway. This friendly bar is not posh with all forniture but with great personality and character. Locals love its traditional cusine like: Aji de gallina (creamy chicken), fresh ceviches, Tongue stew, tasty anticuchos and top Pisco sours! We are will have a quick visit.

The most important religious power during the colonial era was in the city of Lima and was presided over by this imposing cathedral. By Catholic rules, any other church must be built higher than its towers. The front is impressive, the art and architecture that surrounds it is also impressive. There the main and oldest religious ceremonies are celebrated. The locals love to get married there. We will have the best panoramic view of the Cathedral for the best photos!

Lovely Street where locals go to enjoy their day, normally you find temporary exhibitions in there, comfortable atmosphere with an always fresh breze in the air. This place hide the MOST IMORTANT sacred rock for the still living natives, this sacred place is still used to do offerings and payments to the gods like mother earth and natives from Peru came here to do different type of rituals including dances to keep their culture and energy alive. Sacred place good to go and learn!

This convent is considered the oldest in South America which during the 17th century had the tallest tower in the whole continent, still these days works as convent and has an impressive facade and shiny inside front altar, you will be visiting this place from outside especially because we will take the car to come back to your accommodation in here, if the church of this convent is open you can take a quick look inside.

Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor)

The Plaza de Armas is another HIGHLIGHT! It has an influence from Spain in the architecture (because before we were a colony), it is also surrounded by the first palaces, mansions, palaces and castles built in South America and a beautiful main garden. Visiting shanty town was a cultural shock and basically being able to appreciate what you have. All the money from the tour goes to the people who definitely need it. The founder of shanty town is an Angel to do all the work she does. I had Leonardo from Haku Tours and he was very knowledgeable.....

Aura is a wonderful guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable with lovely English. She is well received in the Shanty Town. I was welcomed warmly and felt safe, as I expected, but others have commented about their insecurity in this regard. What the community leader has done in the past eight years ...

One of the best experiences I had in Lima. Was really cool to see the in's and outs of the side of the city I would have never seen otherwise. Really put in perspective the condition of people who are much different than I and I was glad I was able 2 somewhat these people financially.
