Basilica of St. Servatius

The St. Servatius Basilica is central west part of the Vrijthof Square and gives a beautiful scenery.

A short stroll in the picturesque Jeker quarter is a must. Experience the relaxing tranquility of monumental buildings, the enormous trees, the river Jeker and in the evening the mysterious lights.

Onze Lieve Vrouw Sterre der Zee Basiliek

The Onze Lieve Vrouwe Square is a Paris atmosphere square, beautiful decorated with Christmas lights and the west front of the Basilica as a impressive heritage site with more as 1000 years history.

Stokstraat

A nice old quarter with small streets and expensive shops, all decorated in the christmas lights.

Saint Servaasbridge

Maastricht is in fact the bridge, beginning with the Roman bridge. Nowadays the Servaasbridge, 750 years old as the oldest bridge in the Netherlands. In Christmas time of course nice decorated with all the lights.

Market Square

The Market Square with the 350-years old town hall in the middle is a must to visit during Christmas time with the many pubs, restaurants and magnificent Christmas lights.

We had a fantastic sunset walking tour with Rene! He showed us all of the interesting historical sites like the city wall, old Roman streets, churchs and the industrial buildings that have been repurposed. He was very friendly and knowledgeable! Highly recommended!
