Our first stop in the morning is the Sultan´s Quaboos Grand Mosque. Admire there the 12m long chandelier and get an impression of Omani´s religion (Opening hours: From 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday till Thursday). Explore at your next stop the exotic fish, fresh fruits and colorful vegetables at the traditional market in Muttrah. Feel free to mingle with the crowd and don’t forget to negotiate.Only a few meters from there you enter the famous MuttrahSouq where you will find a countless mix of Omani handcrafts, enjoy the oriental sound and smell the gold of Oman “Fragrances”. We drive along the beautiful Corniche to Old Muscat, where we stop for memorable picture of the Sultan's Palace which is surrounded by the Portuguese forts of Jalali and Mirani. At the Bait Al Zubair Museum you get an exclusive chance to get informative information about the Omani culture and their history

Royal Opera House

Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) is a beautiful example of contemporary Omani architecture in the Sultanate of Oman. The white marble facade is beautifully lit up a golden-yellow in the evening and makes for a stunning sight. Built by a royal decree of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, it was designed and constructed by Carillion Alawi and completed in 2011.

Al Alam Palace

Al Alam Palace, also known as Sultan's Palace and the Sultan Qaboos Palace, is one among the six royal residences of Sultan Qaboos located in Muscat. It looks out to the Gulf of Oman. The ruling monarch’s residence was built in 1972 which holds a history of 200 years.

It was an amazing 4 hours with our guide ali he was showing us all the details about the places we visited grand mosque , opera house , old market and the magnificent palace thank we hope we get time to visit oman again

We had the tour guide Saif. Saif showed us around Muscat, having lived here 40years ago he showed us the modern Muscat and took us to some beautiful viewing points and showed us the incredible buildings and modern architecture. Saif was a great guy, would recommend this trip and city.
