On this tour we visit the most important sights of Verona and get to know the most delicious specialties. We get inspiration from the Roman arena and hidden archaeological excavations, admire the Renaissance palaces in Piazza Bra and Piazza Erbe. You will also see why Verona is called "urbs picta" and why the descendants of Dante Alighieri live in Verona. During the tour we will visit the tombs of the medieval rule of Verona and some places associated with the tragedy "Romeo and Juliet". The story can also be tasted good in Verona. So we will taste Valpolicella wine in a historic wine bar in the city center. In the romantic quarter of the old restaurants - Osteria on the banks of the Etsch - a delicious picnic basket with truffle cheese, Mostarda, ham and wine awaits us. At the foot of the panoramic hill San Pietro we lick an organic gelato in a traditional ice cream laboratory.

Piazza Bra

We start our tour from the largest square in the city, Piazza Bra, surrounded by historical buildings and romantic medieval city walls. We remember here the words of Romeo: "There is no world apart from Verona's walls ..."

Arena di Verona

You will learn a lot about the building history of the Roman arena and a few interesting facts from the life of the young gladiators. The largest open-air stage for the Opera Festival is now very popular with VIPs for public marriage proposals.

We visit a renowned vinotheque that is located in a winding alley in the city center. Verona is not only the city of love, it is also one of the ten largest wine capitals worldwide. That awaits us Tasting of Valpolicella wine and acquaintance with the winemaking tradition of Verona.

Chiesa di Santa Maria della Scala

This medieval church is associated with a Veronese princess, named after the most famous opera house in Italy.

Casa di Giulietta

Juliet's house, where lovers from all over the world swear eternal love, is the calling card of the city of love. We visit the courtyard of the medieval house, where the bronze statue of Julia stands. You can also put a love letter in the mailbox of "Club di Giulietta", like Amanda Seyfried in the film "Letters to Julia".

Piazza delle Erbe

Piazza delle Erbe, the ancient Roman Forum, is now home to the city's most beautiful fountain "Madonna di Verona", the medieval Domus Merkatorum Chamber of Commerce, and the magnificent Baroque Palazzo Maffei. For more than 400 years, passers-by have been amazed by the enigmatic fresches of Casa Mazzanti, which allegorically mock human weakness.

Piazza dei Signori

The Piazza dei Signori is called the Salon of Verona. The palaces of the Lords of Verona are housed here. In the center of the square is the famous statue of Dante. The great Italian poet found refuge at the court of Cangrande in Verona.

Arche Scaligere

In addition to the family church of Santa Maria Antica, the Scaliger had their mausoleums. These beautiful pyramidal tombs are masterpieces of Gothic sculpture.

Romeo's House (Casa di Romeo)

Compared to Juliet's house, the medieval palace of her amorous Romeo is not a museum, but a private house.

Via Sottoriva

We stroll through the picturesque Via Sottoriva with ateliers of local craftsmen, cozy restaurants and the oldest restaurants in the city. A delicious picnic basket with truffle cheese, mustarda, ham, bread and wine awaits us in a gourmet restaurant on the banks of the Adige.

Ponte Pietra

The romantic Ponte Pietra bridge is one of the most important Roman monuments in Verona. From the bridge there is a wonderful view of the domed church of San Giorgio in Braida.

Teatro Romano

The Roman Theater "floats" on the Adige on the edge of the picturesque hill of San Pietro. The ancient ruins of the 1st century BC. are the romantic backdrops for cultural events, theater performances and concerts. Here on the Adige we visit a hip one Ice cream laboratory and try a real homemade organic gelato.
