Once we got on shore, met our driver and headed to the volcano. As nothing is close to the port, it takes 1.5 hours to drive each way but traffic can extend this. Once at the national park, we met Claudio to guide us on the hike. This is clearly a strenuous activity, so judge your fitness leve...

IMHO the best tour out of Puerto Quetzal you can do. Many people on our cruise ship took 1.5 hour one-way bus rides also (like most everything destination from this port) but no one had an adventure we did and can say they visited an active volcano!
Santos was our private tour guide and driver...
