Semenggoh Wildlife Centre is located 24km from the centre of Kuching. This orangutan rehabilitation centre trains orphaned or rescued orangutans how to survive in the wild. Over 20 orangutans live in forest within the nature reserve and often return to the centre at feeding times. You will visit the feeding area to watch the orangutans come down from the trees for a free meal. We support animal care centers, your booking helps us in contributing USD10 to the center's affords. Semenggoh Nature Reserve

Semenggoh Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre situated about a 30-minute drive from Kuching. Here the Orangutans are being nurtured to re-adapt themselves to the jungle life. It is also home to numerous baby orangutan, born in the wild to rehabilitated mothers, a further testament to the success of the program.  You will have to chance to observe the semi-wild orangutans coming out of the forest for the feeding time. Before arriving at the feeding platform, you will have a brief experience walking through the amazing untouched rainforest. As a result of its success, Semenggoh's role has changed and it is nowadays a center for the study of orangutan biology and behavior. A visit to Semenggoh is a once a lifetime experience to see semi-wild orangutan, ranging from tiny infants and boisterous adolescents to dignified mature adults, enjoying life in a secure natural habitat. This tour includes return transfers to your accommodation. You may choose a morning or afternoon departure. Please note: the feeding sessions take place at approximately 9:00 to 9:30am and 3:00 to 3:30pm.

We were so lucky to see so many Orangutans… it can be a hit or a miss. Kuching is a beautiful city and I recommend a visit to this park while you are there

Die Arbeit die dort von den Rangern und der Organisation gemacht wird ist super! Sie stellen klare Regeln auf wie man sich zu verhalten hat und sie setzen sie auch durch ! Wir hatten Glück umd haben mehrere Orangs beobachten können, sogar Mutter mit Jungtier. Schade war nur das alle Trails geschl...

Très bien organisé ,un moment inoubliable de rencontre avec les orangs outans. Il faut vraiment s'organiser pour être la au moment ou ils leur donnent à manger .
