Itinerary
Tsukiji Fish Market
Famous as the world's largest fish market. The market deals with 700,000 metric tons of seafood annually totaling almost 6 billion USD in value. Outer Market...around 400 small stands, shops, and restaurants Inner Market* (Uogashi-Yokocho)...a block of tiny restaurants and shops primarily made to service the market workers. The famous sushi bar Sushi Daiwa is located here.
Imperial Palace
The current Imperial Palace (皇居, Kōkyo) is located on the former site of Edo Castle, a large park area surrounded by moats and massive stone walls in the center of Tokyo, a short walk from Tokyo Station. It is the residence of Japan's Imperial Family.
Ginza
The most prestigious shopping district in Tokyo with many flaghship stores of upscale brands. Many prominent department stores such as Mitsukoshi, Matsuya, and Hankyu are located here in Ginza. The basement food hall of those departement stores called "Depa-chika"sells wide variety of foods in a jewerly-box like packaging showing Japanese addiction to foods.
Asakusa Shrine
The oldest temple in Tokyo founded in early 7th century by Hinokuma brothers according to its legend. As the most popular tourist destination for not only foerign visitors, but also Japanese, it attracts more than 30 million visitors annually.
