About Hotel Do Chiado

Hotel do Chiado is located in Chiado, Lisbon's historic district, near Bairro Alto, Rossio Square and Avenida da Liberdade. The hotel was built in the historic building of Armazéns do Chiado, nowadays a shopping centre, which was completely restored by the famous architect Siza Vieira after the tragic fire of 1988. Situated in Chiado, the trendiest, most elegant and chic meeting point in Lisbon, this is the only hotel in town that offers rooms with private terraces and panoramic views of the Castle and the Tagus River. The subway station Baixa-Chiado is located beneath the building and guests can easily find a taxi service next to the hotel. The bar Entretanto, located on the 7th floor is well-known for having the best view of Lisbon. It's the perfect place for a romantic dinner, a gathering with friends, an informal meeting or just to relax at the end of a working day.

Great spot to stay in Lisboa
The rooms were very clean. Our beds were very stiff, however a friend in another room had very comfortable mattresses. Perhaps something to ask. Most clerks spoke very good English as well as French, Spanish, and of course Portuguese. All were very kind and helpful. Shopping is nearby along wi...

Magnificent View
We loved everything. Our terrace room had a gorgeous view of Old Lisbon. Quiet, clean, beautifully decorated. Convenient to tons of great restaurants, bars, shopping, Rossio Station. Safe neighborhood. Rooftop bar and small restaurant a real bonus.
