This charming boutique hotel is centrally located just minutes from Istanbul's most celebrated attractions including the Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque, all less than 15 minutes from the hotel by foot. The hotel gets its name from the exemplary 5th century Byzantine cistern that lies just behind it and is available for viewing free of charge for all guests. The hotel's 21 generous rooms were completely renovated in 2010 and come with air-conditioning, free wireless internet, a free copy of Time Out Istanbul and Turkish delight for guests to sample, while the lobby offers a daily English newspaper, chess and several helpful guidebooks. Guests can wake up to a wholesome and varied buffet breakfast, and enjoy a drink in the bar or terrace after a long day of sightseeing.
