Terrantai is a historic 19th century home with a unique history and location. In 1980, the Chilean government declared as part of the "Historic Sector" the buildings built around the church of San Pedro de Atacama. The construction of the hotel was carried out in 1996. The preservation of the cultural heritage of this historic house was and is a priority. The reception and seating areas, as well as the rooms along the original corridors, have been preserved in their original state, preserving the originality of Atacameño architecture.
